Before, After and After After

PROFILE

I DISCOVERED CROSSFIT BACK IN 2011 AFTER A TRAGEDY IN MY FAMILY. I HAD A FRIEND INTRODUCE ME TO THE SPORT AND ALL IT TOOK WAS ONE CLASS AND I WAS HOOKED. MY FIRST CROSSFIT COACH WAS ERIC GARRIS, WHO I NOW HAVE THE PLEASURE OF COACHING NEXT TO. I WENT FROM BEING THE HEAVIEST I HAD EVER BEEN IN MY LIFE TO BEING THE FITTEST IN ONLY A FEW SHORT YEARS. COMMITMENT TO THE PROGRAM AND DEDICATION HELPED ME REACH THOSE GOALS, BUT UNFORTUNATELY I BECAME ILL IN 2016 WHICH TOOK ME FROM BEING IN THE GYM MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY TO BEDRIDDEN FOR SEVERAL MONTHS, AND PHYSICALLY UNABLE TO WORKOUT FOR ALMOST A YEAR AFTERWARDS. MY GOAL WAS TO NOT LOSE THE SPORT AND I WAS GIVEN AN OPPORTUNITY TO TRAIN AS A CROSSFIT COACH AND I HAVEN’T LOOKED BACK. IT IS

NOW 2018 AND I AM JUST NOW STARTING TO FEEL NORMAL IN MY WORKOUTS AGAIN. I AM A MANAGER OF A GYM THAT I ABSOLUTELY LOVE AND HAVE SEEN IT GROW FROM THE GROUND UP. AS THE WISE GREG GLASSMAN SAID: “ THE MAGIC IS IN THE MOVEMENT, THE ART IS IN THE PROGRAMING, THE SCIENCE IS IN THE EXPLANATION AND THE FUN IS IN THE COMMUNITY”. SO TRUE!

MY FIRST THREE YEARS WITH THE SPORT I HAD TRIED IT ALL. JUICING, ZONE DIET, MACRO-COUNTING, ETC.. NOTHING MADE ME FEEL BETTER THAN JUST BEING CONSCIOUSLY AWARE OF WHAT WENT INTO MY BODY AND HOW MUCH. NO OVER THINKING! HEALTHY DECISIONS EVERY DAY!

Just like you!

If there were ever a test of time that would be now.  I jokingly say "I have been to the mountain top and have seen glory".  My athletes are my focus these days and my value and dedication goes to each and every member I train.

With that being said, the only constant is change.  Keep striving for greatness, never quit, always try!
